THANK YOU for making our annual food drive such a success! We couldn't do it without YOUR help!
Lions Clubs International is one of the largest membership-based service organizations in the world. Our 1.4 million members in more than 49,000 clubs are serving in 200 countries and geographic areas. Since 1917, Lions have improved health and well-being, strengthened communities and supported those in need, locally and globally. At Lions Clubs International our motto is “We Serve.” Learn more about who we are and what we do at lionsclubs.org.
The Nipomo Lions Club was chartered on May 30, 2006. Its current membership stands at approximately 30, is comprised of men and women, and continues to grow. While serving others is our mission, membership in our local club results in bonding and fellowship with fellow members. We act as a charitable organization, fundraising for local charities.
At Nipomo Lions Club, we believe in supporting our local community, both through direct service and fundraising. Some of our activities include service projects, such as food distribution with SLO Food Bank and roadside cleanup at the Willow Road underpass, as well as fundraisers such as our golf tournaments. Funds raised during the year are put to direct use in our community for scholarships, and donations to local charities, such as NAMI. We are also involved in annual sight clinics, and other health efforts throughout the region.
Over the years, we have impacted the lives of thousands of Nipomo residents through our various programs as a charitable organization. Through our fundraising, we have contributed thousands of dollars to provide scholarships, backpacks for back-to-school and other local charities.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and fund our mission. You can contribute to our community by giving of your time, labor, and energy, as well as financially.
